什么是差分晶体振荡器?

差分晶体振荡器通常用于高性能系统如10G/40G/100G的以太网中来提供高频信号(100 MHz或以上)。相对于单端振荡器,差分振荡器利用两个相位完全相反的信号,消除了共模噪声,从而产生更高的系统性能。差分振荡器用在高速系统中,以确保在具有电源噪声和其它噪声源的情况下能够获得信号的完整性和稳定性。

虽然在某些情况下也会用到CML,但是常用的差分输出信号类型主要包括LVPECL、LVDS和HCSL。通常,基于石英的差分振荡器的稳定度在±20ppm至±100ppm之间。MEMS差分振荡器可以支持的稳定性低至±2.5 ppm的,这种器件的优点保证以太网设计时需要的频率偏移,从而产生的吞吐量。
